Colin Jessop - Building Analysis Project Manager
Colin
Jessop is a project manager at HMG. He works primarily in energy
efficiency program implementation and training for multifamily housing.
His program experience includes multifamily incentive programs for both
new and existing construction. Mr.
Jessop is part of HMG's implementation team for the California Energy
Star New Homes Program and HMG's third party program - Designed
for Comfort. His responsibilities included project recruitment, building
energy analysis, project qualification review, project viability
tracking, program development and program marketing. In addition,
Mr. Jessop has conducted training sessions with developers, architects,
engineers and energy consultants on multifamily energy efficiency
strategies and technologies, including analysis of energy efficiency
options in the context of the Title 24 Building Energy Efficiency
Standards.
Prior
to HMG, Mr. Jessop owned his own building energy and renewable energy
consulting companym specializing in integrated energy design for
multifamily, single family and light commercial projects. His projects
included a whole building approach emphasizing the importance of an
energy efficient design of the building envelope, HVAC, lighting and
water heating systems before the integration of renewable energy
systems. He conducted energy efficiency and renewable energy feasibility
studies for affordable housing and tribal energy projects. He was also
the energy consultant for the first LEED-certified marina in the
U.S.
Mr.
Jessop is a board member of the California Association of
Building Energy Consultants (CABEC) and has served as the Treasurer for
the past two years. He is a Certified Energy Analyst and a HERS rater. Mr.
Jessop received a Bachelors degree in Communication from the
University
of
California
at
San Diego
where he graduated magna cum laude.
