Julianna Wei
Project Manager
 Julianna
Wei is a project manager at the Heschong Mahone Group. Her main area of
focus has been the Title 24 Codes and Standards Enhancements (CASE)
studies.
Ms. Wei
currently helps manage the Residential 2011 California T24 CASE studies.
With her training in mechanical engineering and background in the solar
industry, she will lead the CASE efforts for both the multi-family solar
domestic hot water and laundry topics.
Before
joining HMG, Ms. Wei worked for OptiSolar, Inc. where she interfaced
between the R&D and business departments. She helped coordinate the
permitting process of a manufacturing plant and assess various
technology options by conducting research and building extensive
quantitative models She also performed analyses on meteorological and
inverter data from multiple test sites to establish reliable solar panel
watt peak ratings and farm performance benchmark..
Julianna Wei received both the M.S. and B.S. degrees in Mechanical
Engineering from the University of California, Irvine. While her
graduate research thesis titled, “Ammonium Bisulfate Formation at
Simulated Air Preheater Conditions,” investigated the thermo-chemical
characteristics of this byproduct of the ammonia injected for the
reduction of nitrogen oxides in coal-fired power plants, her
undergraduate studies had an emphasis on energy and environment systems.
