Michael Maroney - Engineering Associate
Mr. Maroney
is an
Engineering Associate at the Heschong Mahone Group, Inc. He is
responsible for supporting projects that require engineering analysis in
areas such as domestic hot water, daylighting, and demand response. He
has helped to develop codes and standards for household appliance
efficiency and commercial buildings efficiency.
Mr. Maroney’s technical
skills and experience are beneficial to HMG in various capacities. From
codes and standards research to hot water recapturing systems, his
chemical engineering background provides a foundation for quantitative
decision making. Starting at the University of California and
continuing through his two subsequent positions, Mr. Maroney’s technical
writing ability allows him to detail the results of his studies
coherently in formalized reports.
Prior to HMG, Mr. Maroney
was a Project Engineer at Risk Management Professionals, Inc. His role
involved coordinating operations at facilities that use highly hazardous
chemicals (classified by California-OSHA Title 8 section 5189). In
addition, he has spoken on the topic of handling and storage of
hazardous chemicals at industry conventions.
Mr. Michael Maroney
received a B.S. in Chemical Engineering from the University of
California, Santa Barbara and recently received Engineer in Training (EIT)
certificate.
