The County and City of San Diego in
partnership with the City of Chula Vista and San Diego Gas &
Electric© are pleased to announce a new multi-family
retrofit program:
Energy Upgrade CaliforniaTM — San Diego Multi-Family Program.
Implemented by Heschong Mahone Group (HMG),
the program aims to upgrade at least 1,000 multi-family units
in San Diego County by May 2012.
Program benefits include:
- Cash Incentives.
Escalating incentives for deeper energy savings.
Technical Assistance.
Expertise and energy management guidelines.
Tenant Education.
Energy conservation tips and HomeWise Kit.
Incentives are limited, available on a first come, first
served basis for qualifying properties, and can be layered as
such:
- San Diego Gas & Electric©
(from $550 to $1,500/unit for properties served by
SDG&E).
- PLUS: City of
San Diego (from $350 to $1,400/unit (owner), $50 to
$200/unit (rater) for low and moderate-income properties
in the City of San Diego).
- PLUS: City of Chula
Vista (from $550 to $1,500/unit for properties in the
City of Chula Vista).
